Food for Thought


Happy New Year!  Not only is this the start of a brand-new year, but also a brand-new decade!!  January 1 is a day where all things seem possible – the first page of a brand-new chapter in the book of life!

It is also a day where we look back at past successes and identify areas to improve and change going forward.  We are always evolving and growing, and that is both exciting and scary at the same time!!

If “get healthier” is on your list of goals for this year, you are probably wondering where to start.  The field of health and nutrition has evolved and changed greatly, especially over the last decade.  Many of the “truths” we were told about fats, carbs and sugar are getting turned on their heads.  We are finally realizing that our health begins and ends with WHAT WE EAT.  However, the simple question of “what should I eat” has become so difficult to answer.  There is a pandora’s box of products and businesses trying to convince us that THEY ARE THE ANSWER!  Unfortunately, this all leads to overwhelm, anxiety and confusion.  What should you do??

You need to stop the noise, trust your instincts and ACT!  Daily you are bombarded with information that you consume and collect.  When you are ready to DO something, another piece of information crosses your path making you doubt your decision, and you end up not DOING anything.  Before you know it weeks or even months have passed, and you have made no progress toward your goal.  To break this cycle, you need to ACT because ACTION CHANGES THINGS!  

Make 2020 the year you take control of your health and become your best self!  If you are ready to start taking action toward your health goals, I would LOVE to help.

At Mrs. Dornberg’s you will learn the basics of healthy eating and nutrition; get help in navigating the grocery store; receive guidance in stocking a healthy pantry, refrigerator & freezer and be instructed in basic cooking techniques that will empower you to prepare food at home simply, efficiently and cost-effectively.
