Berries, like strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, or blackberries are one of the most nutritious fruits you can choose.  However, they are fragile and need to be handled with care to reduce waste and to maintain freshness.  The problems stem from excess moisture.  The key is to store them in a single layer and not washing until right before serving.
