Minestrone Soup & Basic Knife Skills Cook-Along

COST: $27 (regularly $39) per device (session held on ZOOM)

Join Mrs. Dornberg from the comfort of your OWN kitchen and learn basic knife cuts while preparing a hearty Minestrone soup!

One of the most important and basic techniques in cooking is making homemade soup.
Soup-making requires you to sauté, bloom your spices, and balance flavors.
In addition, since a big part of soup making is chopping, it is a great opportunity to learn and practice basic knife skills! 

In this cook-along, we will prepare a classic Minestrone soup that you can adapt to fit your individual needs and preferences.  You will receive instruction and guidance throughout the session from Mrs. Dornberg as we cook together in real-time.
You will then have a delicious soup to enjoy when we are all done!
(The recipe yields approximately 3 quarts and will keep in the refrigerator for up to 7 days or can be frozen for up to 3 months.)

Skills covered in this class include basic knife cuts, sautéing, blooming, flavor balance, and more!

The soup can be modified for most dietary restrictions including gluten-free or vegan. 
Contact Mrs. Dornberg to discuss ingredient swaps and other modifications.

The cook-along will be approximately 1 1/2 hours in length.


This class will be conducted via Zoom. You will have the opportunity to ask questions during the session through chat or live as we go along. You are encouraged to have your camera on so Mrs. Dornberg's can better guide you, but it is not mandatory. Of course, we hope you will cook along, but you can also sit back, observe, and soak in all the tips and techniques!

If something comes up and you can't make the live session or you want to go through the class again, the class will be recorded and you will have access for 14 days following the class.  

Upon registration, you will receive recipes, ingredient & equipment lists, and pre-class instructions so you're ready to get cooking! Contact Mrs. Dornberg prior to class if have special dietary needs and need help with any necessary substitutions.

Virtual doors open 15 minutes prior to class start. Mrs. Dornberg will be available during this pre-class time to answer any cooking/nutrition questions you may have or just to catch up on things!  The Cook-Along WILL START PROMPTLY!  Please note, registration is per screen.  You will need to provide the customer name or confirmation code when joining the class.

Mrs. Dornberg’s Culinary Experience reserves the right to cancel or modify classes and menus.  All virtual class sales are final. No refunds or credits are available. NOTE: If a class is canceled by Mrs. Dornberg's or is unable to proceed for technical or any other circumstance, a full refund will be issued.
