Healthy Eating

Make 2022 Your HEALTHIEST YEAR EVER!

As we start the new year, many of you have made health-related resolutions, goals or promises.

Many of these include diet -- mostly what NOT to eat or adapting a new diet plan that promises INSTANT results.

The bottom line is you are UNIQUE and you need to find a eating plan that is both doable and sustainable FOR YOU.

How do you do this?  By making regular small changes that build on one another over the long haul.

These changes will be different for each of you, but one that is on the top of the list for EVERYONE is to EAT REAL WHOLE FOODS.  In other words, DITCH THE PROCESSED!

Since the vast majority of pre-made, convenience and restaurant foods are processed to some degree, to eat real, whole food you need to PREPARE YOUR MEALS AT HOME FROM SCRATCH.

I can hear the excuses coming our of your mouth already:  "I don't have time, I don't know how to cook, Cooking for one is TOO hard, my family is TOO picky and on and on.......  BUT they are JUST EXCUSES!

YOU CAN overcome ANY AND ALL excuses, if you put your mind to it! Yes, it will be hard, and you probably will have to move out of your current comfort zone, but growth and change ONLY happens when we stretch and challenge ourselves.

It is hard to travel this path alone, and that is why I hope you will join (or continue along) with me this year and make those small changes needed to make cooking a regular part of your routine.

I will be providing the skills and techniques, healthy recipes, meal planning and prep guidance, inspiration, and MOST of all helping you to overcome those excuses!

It is time for #NoExcusesGetReal.

If cooking is the key to health, then a healthy lifestyle begins in the kitchen.

  1. I agree, there are no excuses for not cooking. You give ample information and examples of so many skills and techniques. I never knew how easy cooking from scratch would be, as well as, how delicious the meals would taste. Above all, I feel better eating healthy meals.

    1. Donna – It has been awesome seeing your cooking confidence build and how your approach and thinking about cooking have transformed! I am glad it has led to better health, too! I think most people have pre-decided that cooking is too hard, takes too much time, etc., so they never even try to change. In reality, cooking is one of the BEST things you can do for yourself and your family. The key is to focus on skills and techniques and just start DOING it rather than get yourself overwhelmed collecting too many recipes! – Cheryl
