Cooking Class: Homemade Applesauce

Cooking Basics, How To

Making your own applesauce is simple, delicious, and better for you!  It is also a great way to use fruit that has lost its crispness.

Just remove the core and chop into pieces, skin and all!  Gently cook until softened, place in blender or food processor, and process to desired texture.  Since there are no preservatives, use within 2 weeks for best results or can be frozen up to 4 months.  Note:  it may be more watery after thawing.
